Laha Valley is a long valley stretching more than 20 kilometres from Lower Dirab to the town of Haeer. It is one of the lovely places to explore in Riyadh for sightseeing, light mountain hiking, and trekking, and it is easily accessible from the city centre.
Laha Valley stands out among Riyadh's popular attractions and locations as a hidden gem known to only a few. This exclusivity makes it a distinctive experience for those who explore it. Consequently, it is less frequently visited, showcased, highlighted, and discussed by vloggers on social media platforms.
The area features vast stretches of golden desert sands that shimmer under the sunlight and a clear sky. Most of this region consists of private farms. The lush greenery of the farms enhances the harmonious blend of colours from the sands, green vegetation, golden mountains, ridges, and escarpments.
With its vast area, plenty of exciting places and interesting spots are scattered throughout for light trekking and hiking.

Al Waslah Park
The suspense and thrills may be light but are filled with stunning sights. Al Waslah Park is part of the Al Uraidh Valley, which offers a picture of the mountain landscape and the simplicity, serenity, and unaltered natural beauty of the farmlands. About a 5 km drive from the city's outskirts, you can start seeing the desert in its exquisite, untold, laid-back exterior, as well as the colours of the green trees.

Soldier's Head Valley
Sunset Valley is a popular spot for hikers to watch the sunset. Currently, hikers are heading there to view the sunset.
Soldier’s Head Valley is one of the seven valleys accessible and connected to the Lahay Valley south of Riyadh City. It is a place to enjoy watching the sunset without any bummer that ruins the photo image as the sun slowly fades, its light hiding behind the western horizon.
You settle on the escarpment and feel the desert breezes softly touching your body while enjoying the fresh air on the vast desert plateau.
You only need to drive about 50 km from the city centre of Riyadh to Laha Valley, then do the light mountain trail hiking to the hilltop and wait until sundown.
The shortest way to Soldier’s Head Valley is through Laha Valley. However, it is not publicly accessible because private farms occupy the Laha Valley. You need to secure permission from the farm owners to access Soldier’s Head Valley. If they do, be thankful; if they don’t, you can’t do anything.
The easiest way to get to the Soldier’s Head Valley is to connect with the Saudi Hiking Team of the Saudi Adventure, a tour and travel agency operating in the kingdom. You need to pay for the hiking package they offer, and you can go hiking with them to the sunset-watching point.
