Golden Dune Oasis - Lake Prodan is a small, year-round lake located at the dune base in Qasab Village, Shaqra, Riyadh Province, Saudi Arabia. It is sustained by an underground natural water spring, allowing it to remain filled with water for years, even without rain. This lakelet has a circumference of about 150 meters.
Lake Prodan is 175 km north of Riyadh City, south of the Golden Mountain of Qasab (Qasab Dune). This lake is one of the main attractions in this northwestern area of Riyadh Province, alongside the Maghatya Trail, Marqab Al Rughabah, Al Ekreshiya Lake, Qasab Golden Mountain Dune, Qasab Salt Land, and the Heritage Village of Usaigher.

Hiring A Guide Is Recommended
You should have a guide familiar with the route and trail; without one, you might lose your way and become stranded. Google's directions are unreliable since there is no mobile phone or internet signal once you reach the heart of the desert.
On rainy days, the likelihood of becoming trapped in desert mud is significant because areas of loose sand from sunny days transform into mud when it rains. The guide is aware of where to drive and where to avoid.
